We stayed at the Stateside Resort for a couple of nights, and ate at Howies 2 times. Dinner was okay... the steak sandwhich on pita was the tastiest out off the 4 meals we ordered. Breakfast was pretty horrible. The potatoes tasted as they were fried in yesterdays oil.. eggs tasted bland.. would not dine here again.
Second time in two years I've been here. I was just as disappointed the first time. The restaurant was about half full and it still took 15 minutes to get seated. It then took almost half an hour to get our food which was mediocre at best. Only reason we tried again is because there isn't much other choice at the resort for breakfast. I usually don't write reviews (first one for this account) on bad experiences but this one was worth writing about!
We almost cancelled our reservation because of the reviews. Now that we ended up here, I feel that the reviews are unfair! We had a blast for Thanksgiving dinner here, amazing food so kudos for the chef and fast, helpful service from Shelby! Will come back again!
PS. Stuffed French Toast?! OMG
Probably the best food I have eaten at Jay Peak for a long time. The whole place feels like it has had an overhaul, from the seating, to the menus, to the service, I loved every single thing. I will be back for the noodles and hot buttered coffee!
